Muscle Builder Treatment
Muscle Builder is a non-invasive treatment and has no recovery time or any pre/post-treatment preparation. Muscle Builder uses High Intensity Forced Electromagnetic therapy to create a muscle contraction stronger than you could ever achieve on your own. In each 30-minute session, you can achieve 20,000 contractions – the equivalent of 20,000 crunches/squats to strengthen and tone your inner core, sculpt your abs and glutes.
This contraction does not involve muscle relaxation and the muscle works at its maximum capacity. These extreme contraction conditions require the muscle to adapt and develop muscular mass over the treated area and burn fat in the background.
Results from using Muscle Builder are comparable to those of months spent working out in the gym to gain muscle and burn fat. Many patients start to see improvements 2 to 6 weeks after therapy, and many keep getting better for months. Maintaining the impact will be easier with a healthy lifestyle that includes eating well and exercising.
The protocol recommends 8 x 30-minute sessions within approximately a four week period.

Our Care
Prior to your Muscle builder treatment it is recommended that you begin to make changes to your lifestyle by:
- Increasing water intake
- Reduce the intake of toxins to the body (tobacco, alcohol)
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment
- Avoid other non-surgical body contouring treatments 1 week before treatment
- If the skin is red, irritated or broken, we cannot carry out your treatment until the skin has completely healed
- Please avoid caffeine and fatty foods on the day of treatment
- Please wear loose fitting clothing, no tight jeans etc
- Increase the consumption of fruit and vegetables
- Please avoid a heavy meal an hour before treatment
In order to achieve optimum results from your Muscle builder treatment, we strongly recommend the following:
- Drink 2 – 3 litres of water daily, keep a large bottle with you at all times and infuse with lemons and limes for flavour, this will flush out the lipids (dead fat cells) out of your body through the lymphatic system
- Exercise minimum of 1 hour per week as this will assist in the metabolism of the dead fat cells, muscle growth and contribute to healthy lifestyle
- Follow a healthy eating diet plan (we offer these on our website, head over and ‘Healthy Eating Plans) and reduce your intake of alcohol, carbohydrates and caffeine during the treatment program
- Although not essential for results regular body brushing at home, is a great way to stimulate the lymphatic system to naturally eliminate the fat cells
- Use the Aztec Tan & Spa Organics daily when body brushing to help assist the removal of dead fat cells and promote good blood flow
- Take 2 scoops off Aztec Tan & Spa inulin powder daily, mix with any liquid or food
- Avoid hot baths or showers, steam or heat treatments for 24 hours
- Avoid Aspirin and Ibuprofen during the treatment program
- Lymphatic massage will accelerate the process of removing the fat cells
If you have any of the following health conditions you can NOT have this treatment:
- Liver or kidney problems
- Heart or lung conditions
- Raynaud’s disease or other vasoconstrictive disorders
- Sufferers of physiological hypotonic (lacking in muscle tone/muscle or tissue wastage)
- Cardiovascular or cerebral diseases (issues with blood flow to heart or brain)
- Immune system disease (including AIDS or HIV) or Urticaria
- Hypoproteinemia or hyperproteinemia (high or low levels of protein in the blood)
- Umbilical hernias, hernias or weak stomach muscle walls (past or present – abdominal treatments only)
- Severe diabetes, elderly infirm or young children
- Post invasive surgery (in the treatment area – wait at least 12 months and avoid any scar)
- Artificial implants, bone, (in the treatment area)
- Persons with metal plates or joint implants (in the treatment area)
- Sites of prior cosmetic surgery (area specific only)
- Pregnancy & immediately following birth (3 months’ natural birth, 12 months C-Section)
- Thrombosis, or taking an anticoagulant
- You will first meet with your Aesthetic Practitioner who will go through the treatment in detail and ensure you understand everything
- They will ensure all paperwork is completed, this includes a medical history screening, treatment areas assessment and lifestyle questions
- Your Aesthetic Practitioner will then start by measuring your target areas, take photos and go through the treatment process
- Once the areas have been marked up the applicator will be placed onto the area of treatment for 30 minutes
- You will be given aftercare advice on the day of your treatment and this will also be sent to you via email for you to refer back too

Muscle Builder treatment is best suited to clients who are looking to reduce fat and build muscle. It is best performed on patients who have stubborn areas of pinchable fat. Muscle Builder is not suitable for anyone with medical implants such as pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators or women who are breastfeeding or are or may be pregnant. The results from Muscle Builder will vary on many different factors, such as age, physical condition and BMI. Clients will be able to feel the results from Muscle Builder after their first treatment. Visible results are best seen 2 – 4 weeks following the last treatment session and these will continue to improve in the weeks following.
Muscle Builder is really effective at improving muscle tone and burning fat but it can also be used to help improve diastasis recti. Diastasis recti or rectus abdominis diastasis is common in women post-pregnancy. The pressure on the stomach from pregnancy can cause the abdominal muscles to stretch and separate causing a bulge in the stomach.
