Jowls Treatment
Treatments For Jowls
As People Age, Almost Everyone Develops Jowls
It’s common to refer to drooping skin below the chin or jawline as having “jowls.” It takes place because as we age, our skin gets thinner and less elastic. People with thicker skin, more fat, or more collagen in the region below the cheekbones and chin may develop jowls that are less obvious.
There are several non-surgical, non-invasive treatment options for treating sagging jowls or reducing how saggy or droopy they appear. Our procedures aim to get rid of and/or lessen the appearance of jowls by altering the collagen composition of your skin.
During your face-to-face consultation our aesthetic practitioners will assess your circumstances, goals, lifestyle, diet and your skin. This will help to offer advice on the course of treatments that will produce the best results.

What Are Jowls
The drooping skin patches that appear across the jawline are known as jowls. This results from the ageing process naturally and starts to show up more in people in their mid- to late-40s. The body’s connective tissue is made up of the protein collagen, while elastin, another protein found in connective tissue, helps the skin bounce back after being stretched.
The cheek skin around your lips loses firmness and tightness as you age because proteins are lost in the process. Jowls develop as the fat tissue, also known as fat pads, slides down into the jawline and the skin loses its suppleness, firmness, and collagen.

Jowls are caused by the natural ageing process and becomes more prominent from the mid to late 40’s. As the skin ages and loses collagen and flexibility, face jowls appear (proteins in facial tissue). The face loses firmness and tightness as these proteins degenerate, causing the skin to droop. Jowls can be caused by a variety of factors, these include: Loss of elastin and collagen, genetics and environmental factors.
MED: One of our greatest jowl treatments, HIFU Ultra, targets the deep structural layers of the skin, which tighten and make new collagen, giving you skin that is firmer and tighter. The skin can be tightened and lifted with HIFU. The device has been tested and approved for the tightening the skin. HIFU neck and face lift treatment has shown to be both popular and effective treatment across the UK with many celebrities trying the treatment for themselves.
