• Increasing water intake
• Increase water intake by at least 1.5 litres
• Avoid any facial peels 4 weeks before treatment and microdermabrasion 2 weeks before treatment
• Avoid any exfoliation or chemical peels for 7 days prior to your treatment
• Avoid alcohol consumption for minimal of 48 hours prior to your appointment
• Allow 2 weeks before IPL treatments in the area that you wish to have treated
• Avoid sun-beds or direct UV exposure for a minimal of 1 week prior to your appointment
• Avoid any active skin care, for example, AHA’s and BHA, any exfoliating products 5 days pre and post treatment

• Avoid alcohol consumption for minimal of 48 hours prior to your appointment
• Avoid hot water, heat treatments (saunas, steam rooms, etc) or extreme cold for 24 hours
• Drink 2 – 3 litres of water daily, keep a large bottle with you at all times and infuse with lemons and limes for flavour, this will help hydrate the skin and help to flush out toxins
• Avoid sun-beds or direct UV exposure for a minimum of 1 week and apply SPF daily to protect the skin
• Aztec Tan & Spa have a range of different skincare to help after your HIFU treatment, the skincare should be used after your treatment daily and the directions on how to use each product can be found on the bottle/packaging
• If you are using the Home Use Skin Rejuvenation RF & EMS Machine, you should do so after 24 hours and use as directed by your Aesthetic Practitioner, if you are unsure please do not call and email the clinic so that the Practitioner can call you: [email protected]
• Skin may feel dry after treatment, therefore you should apply a replenishing/hydrating mask three times a week or apply hyaluronic acid
• Do not take aspirin or other anticoagulant medications as this can hinder the healing process
• Normal cleansing regimes can be resumed after 24 hours, although avoid using scented or fragranced products around the treatment area unless you are using the skincare given to you at the clinic
• Allow 2 weeks before continuing any laser/IPL treatments in the area that you had treated

• Liver or kidney problems
• Heart or lung conditions
• Persons with metal plates or joint implants (in the treatment area)
• Sites of prior cosmetic surgery (area specific only)
• Pregnancy & immediately following birth (3 months’ natural birth, 12 months C-Section)
• Thrombosis, or taking an anticoagulant
• Breastfeeding
• Epilepsy
• Cancer
• High cholesterol
• Hypoproteinemia or hyperproteinemia (high or low levels of protein in the blood)
• Sufferers of physiological hypotonic (lacking in muscle tone/muscle or tissue wastage)
• Cardiovascular or cerebral diseases (issues with blood flow to heart or brain)
• Immune system disease (including AIDS or HIV) or Urticaria
• Raynaud’s disease or other vasoconstrictive disorders
• Umbilical hernias, hernias or weak stomach muscle walls (past or present – abdominal treatments only)
• Severe diabetes, elderly infirm or young children
• Post invasive surgery (in the treatment area – wait at least 12 months and avoid any scar)
• Artificial implants and/or bone (in the treatment area)

If you have any of the following health conditions, you will need a letter of consent from your GP or medical practitioner:

• Scarring history, fibrosis or seborrhoea
• Hyper or Hypotension (High or Low Blood Pressure)
• Severe skin disorders
• Under 18
• Haemophiliacs or hemorrhagic disorders
• Certain immune disorders
• Persons who have donated or received organ transplants
• After recovery from cancer, must have been off medication for 12 months and have GP approval prior to treatment

• You will first meet with your Aesthetic Practitioner who will go through the procedure in detail, this will include a medical history screening, treatment area(s) assessment and lifestyle questions
• Your Aesthetic Practitioner will then start by measuring your target area(s), take photos and go through the procedure to ensure you fully understand everything and answer any questions you may have
• Once the areas have been marked up, ultrasound gel will be applied to the area and the device will begin in circular movements
• The applicator will transmit Radio Frequency waves to the desired areas
• Clients do find the treatment very relaxing as the feeling of warm is felt throughout the procedure
• The treatment will then end depending on the amount of time you have requested on the targeted area.
• You can opt to have a collagen mask applied to the area of treatment and red light therapy, which promotes healing, collagen production and to settle the skin
• It has been proven to increase collagen production by up to 35 percent
• Accelerate the results at home with our aftercare serum and apply at least twice a day for 3 – 6 months post-treatment
• The aftercare serum aids in the production, repair and renewal of collagen and has the added benefit of making your skin feel great
• You will be given aftercare advice on the day of your treatment and this will also be sent to you via email for you to refer back too
